7 League Boots GT Cobra Initial Impressions

Well I’ve had enough time after my unboxing video to get a general idea of how these stilts perform straight out of the box. Check out the video below to find out all about it.

Now that you’ve watched that video let’s actually look at them in use. Here is Chris of XD Bockers first try on them.

He takes a bit to become accustomed to the stilts, but warms up to them later in the day as seen in our easter meet video.

In short I found the build quality of the stilts to be great. The lower joint assembly was really silent in use, the springs were smooth although a bit to soft for me. The hooves were fantastic and provided excellent grip. The Cuffs were very comfortable and held up secure.

I’ll be doing another follow up for my final verdict in a couple weeks. So if you haven’t already please subscribe and watch for it.

Bock the South 2012 is coming!

In just a short while it’s already going to be the season for outdoor activities such as powerbocking! For those of you that remember, and you newbies too! It will soon be time for Bock the South 2012! Last years event was a major success. We had Jumping Stilt Enthusiasts from Boston, Florida, and Washington, DC all come attend a wonderful meet up with locals from Savannah, GA.

If you never got a chance to view Bock the Souths 2011 video check it out! Also there is this fun old flyer we posted around town.

For our 2012 meet up we are just now in the beginning phases of hammering plans down, and hard. We plan on positioning the meet so it’s the first big national meet of the year just like in 2011. This puts us with an ideal time frame of march-through the beginning of may. Right now we’re leaning towards an end of march/beginning of april weekend. Last year we held it the first weekend of May. But Savannah weather allows it much earlier in the spring.

Last year we held the meet starting on a Saturday and ending on a Sunday with a pre-party meet up on Friday evening. This is our goal this year as well.

We are also still planning on hosting it in Savannah, Georgia. We plan on using more or less the same locations as last year with more of an emphasis on River Street.

If you have any suggestions please take this time to let us know! Comment right on this blog, comment on our facebook repost, send us an email to DJ@xdbockers.com.

We will be announcing concrete plans and posting the official event on facebook in February. Let’s make Bock the South 2012 even better then last years!

July 27th 2010 Our First Official Newsletter!

Welcome to the new blog “Live, Laugh, Jump!”

We’re going to be doing away with the email newsletter. Because hey who checks their emails anymore? Off to the junk folder with ya! Don’t forget to subscribe or remember to join our facebook group. We’ll be posting links to the blog there as well.

Also sometime in the near future we’re going to make a massive post with all the old archived newsletters. So hey if you missed those enjoy the glory of reposts.

Looking into the future we’re naming this blog “Live, Laugh, Jump!” just as way to show how we the XD Bockers like to conduct ourselves. This blog will be about what we’re doing practice wise, where we’re performing, how new comers can join us, and just the all around fun we have as club.

This time of the year is definitely a low point for us in the sport. With winter weather hindering powerbocking. We won’t have many new club videos or updates until the weather turns nice in spring.

But expect a review of 7 League Boots Jumping Stilts sometime in the coming weeks. We’ll get an unboxing video up as soon as we get a pair, and a few week review out once we’re able to use them.

In addition to our upcoming review we are working on our own websites update. After moving our main base to an entirely new state, we have a lot to update with member profiles and reflecting that we now mainly serve the surrounding Cedar Rapids area.

We also have big plans in building a great new branch of the club here in the Cedar Rapids area. Jake (original fonding member with yours truly) and I have already got another friend up and walking before the weather went freezing. Expect some amusing stuff from us to come.

Anyways don’t forget to subscribe if not, hit that like button when I post these in the facebook group!
